Jordan Village is a like a little version of Yorkville without the traffic, parking issues, crowds, price-tags and general headaches. I mean Toronto has more stoff to choose from, no doubt, but if you are looking to enjoy the holiday chopping experience as well as buy nice stiff, you might want to look outside of the city.
Make a day of it, have a relaxing drive, enjoy a gourmet lunch, sip wine, and at the same time clean up on your shopping. How great is that!
Jordon Village is about an hour’s drive west of Toronto and they have a very good web site with detailed information and more pictures. There is also the Cave Spring Winery and the boutique Inn on the Twenty where you can spend the night, enjoy a spa treatment and enjoy gourmet dining (I have eaten there a few times and it has always been exceptionally good).
A Visit to the Jordan Art Gallery….
I stopped in at the Jordan Art Gallery which, in addition to being a nice place to view original Canadian art, is a great place to buy a special gift for someone who enjoys the finer things or maybe a unique wedding gift (no more toasters or candle-holders!). Even just one piece of real art can change the whole feel of a room; there is something wonderful about real handmade objets d’art whether it’s a beautiful piece of handmade jewellery, a painting, sculpture, woodwork, glass or other piece or original design.
They have a great web site with lots of pictures so take a look!
